Laura O'Hagan
BVSc Cert AVP MRCVS

Vet and Owner

Born and raised in Country Armagh, surrounded by litters of half-wild kittens and two beautiful golden retrievers, Laura dreamed of being a Vet from a very young age.

In 2010, she qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Bristol and has been working locally as a small animal vet ever since. In 2020, she achieved a Masters qualification called the Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) with a focus on Cardiology.

Laura loves being a vet and is passionate about all aspects of the job, particularly building relationships with clients and their pets and following their journey through life.

Surgery is another interest, and Laura is rarely as happy as she is scalpel-in-hand. She also has a passion for cardiology and has a weath of further study in this subject. She is very experienced at managing long term and complex cardiac conditions.

Ever since her very first job, Laura was acutely aware that opening her own practice was a desire she must pursue. She has a vision of clinic where people enjoy coming to work, and patients and owners enjoy a comfortable, stress free experience. Being able to build Armagh Vet Station based on her very strong vision and ideals has been a dream come true.

Beyond her professional life, Laura balances the demands of three young children and their three-legged feline companion, Stella. And when time permits, she reluctantly trains for her next marathon!
